Kogi new NYSC Coordinator…Mr. Olayiwola Lasaki has been named as the new Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Kogi.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that the previous NYSC Coordinator, Mrs.Oludolapo Ahile, kicked the bucket on May 17, in a street mishap on Keffi-Akwanga-Lafia expressway in Nassarawa State.

Mr. Adedapo Tayo, the Assistant Director, Public Relations Unit of NYSC, in an announcement on Saturday in Lokoja, said that the new facilitator accepted the obligation on June 6.

Lasaki, an Assistant Director, was in NYSC office, Akure, Ondo State, until his arrangement.

Tayo said Lasaki had met with the NYSC the executives in the state, where he lauded the ideals of Ahile, depicting her as “an upstanding officer that was energetic about accomplishing the objectives and goals of the plan.”

He said that the state organizer noticed that the inheritances of Ahile would long be recalled.

Tayo included that the administration of NYSC in the state guaranteed Lasaki of their help and guaranteed to work with him as a group.

He said that the state organizer had similarly paid politeness visits to some NYSC partners in Kogi, where he recognized them for their help and coordinated efforts.

Tayo said those visited incorporate the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Hakeem Busari, Maj. Gen. Elvis Njoku, the Commander, Command Army Records (CAR), at Chari-Maigumeri military quarters.

He said Lasaki likewise visited the Director of Department of State Security Service (DSS), Mr. Dashwep Joseph.

Tayo said that the heads of security organizations guaranteed to keep on giving the required help to the plan and corps individuals in the state.

NAN reports that the new Coordinator accepted office precisely 20 days after the passing of the previous facilitator. (NAN)
