Peter Cech Ex-Arsenal goalkeeper signs for ice hockey club
Peter Cech…Previous Chelsea and Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech on Wednesday said he was swapping football for ice hockey subsequent to marking to play for a British class group as a goaltender.
The 37-year-old Czech, who resigned from playing in the mid-year, said he was reigniting his enthusiasm for a game he previously played as a youth by writing an arrangement with the Guildford Phoenix.
“I am charmed to have the opportunity to play with the Phoenix to get the match understanding,” Cech told the club’s site.
“I trust I can assist this youthful group with achieving their objectives for the season and attempt to win whatever number games as could be expected under the circumstances when I get the opportunity to play.
“Following 20 years of expert football, this will be a magnificent encounter for me to play the game I wanted to watch and play as a child.”
Guildford, who were established in 2017 and based only south of London, is in the fourth level of Britain’s ice hockey framework.
Cech won four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups, the Champions League and the Europa League during his Chelsea vocation, with a further FA Cup achievement coming at Arsenal.
