Yemi Alade Youtube channel hits 100 million views on her “Johnny”
Yemi Alade Youtube channel…Nigerian Afro-pop songstress, Yemi Eberechi Alade, also known by the stage name Yemi Alade has hit a milestone of a whopping one hundred million views on her monster hit song “Johnny” and emerged second Nigerian music star to attain the height.
Alade made this stance with the video of her monster hit single ‘Johnny’ which was released in 2014. In consonance with a report, the single hit one hundred million views on her YouTube channel, which placed her on the second row of Nigerian artist to follow up on this challenge. The ‘looking for my Johnny’ crooner, who openly celebrated and exhibited her ecstasy concerning the feat on her Instagram handle page @yemi_alade, expressed great joy and appreciated her fans for their support.
“THANK YOU-THANK YOU-THANK YOU. 100 MILLION VIEWS,” she commented.
The songwriter and composer pledged to her fans that she would be “putting in more work this year” as her morale was boosted by the benevolent support. Yemi released her musical debut in a girl group called Noty Spices in 2005, but her musical ambition became widely famous and global when she won the Peak Talent Show in 2009.
However, she afterward dropped her first single “Fimisile.” Alade has also taken home a number of awards which includes the Best African Female at the 2015 and 2016 MTV Awards and just of recent, ”Best Performer” at the 2018 edition. David Adedeji Adeleke, also called by the stage name Davido, broke the record to emerge the first Nigerian artiste to hit the one million views on his YouTube channel with his hit video ‘Fall’ in December 2018. And after one month, the video ‘Johnny’ followed suit by achieving the same numbers of view on the site.
